The D.C. Circuit has just released its redacted opinion in the case of Adnan Farhan Abd Al Latif, which it filed on October 14, 2011. The opinion is available here, and Lawfare has covered the case here, here, here, here, and here. The case is an unusual one, as it involves a rare ideological split on a D.C. Circuit panel in a habeas merits matter. We will post commentary as soon as we have read the opinion.


Ritika Singh was a project coordinator at the Brookings Institution where she focused on national security law and policy. She graduated with majors in International Affairs and Government from Skidmore College in 2011, and wrote her thesis on Russia’s energy agenda in Europe and its strategic implications for America.
