On April 9 at 8 a.m. ET, day one of the 2024 U.S. Cyber Command Legal Conference will begin. The conference focuses on legal issues for the cyber lawyer. Today’s panels include:  The Strategic Value of Partnerships in the Cyberspace Domain with General Timothy Haugh; Corporate Roundtable: The Evolving Cyber Threat Landscape; Big Data, Big Questions: Balancing National Security and Privacy and Civil Liberties; Legal Careers in National Security; Innovation in Government Acquisition and Technology Transfer; The Business of Battle: Navigating the Role of the Private Sector in Conflict; and Law and Policy Challenges Amidst Global Competition.

Maya Nicholson is an incoming J.D. candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, with interests in international law and conflict prevention. She was previously an editorial intern at Lawfare and a UN Advocacy intern at the International Crisis Group, where she assisted with research, analysis, and advocacy on both international and domestic policy issues. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in international relations from New York University in 2023.
