On June 25, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence submitted a preliminary report on unidentified aerial phenomena to Congress. Of the 144 reports of unidentified aerial phenomena gathered by the government since 2004, 143 could not be definitively traced back to a source. The Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force will continue to investigate the matter as a potential national security threat.
