On April 11, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon unsealed a redacted transcript of an interview of Waltine Nauta conducted by two FBI special agents on May 26, 2022. Nauta, a co-defendant in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s ongoing Mar-a-Lago classified documents case and Donald Trump’s former valet, told officers that he thought that miscellaneous items, such as picture frames, news clippings, and shampoo were being moved in the boxes. Nauta is charged with lying in this interview.

Nauta is currently asking Judge Cannon to dismiss the charges against him on the basis of constitutional vagueness.
