Jon Tran

Jon Tran is a senior associate at The Chertoff Group, where he helps clients with cybersecurity programs and security architecture. He acts as a working virtual chief information security officer for the firm, representing various clients of many sizes. He also assists clients in threat modeling for their organizations, providing actionable implementation guidance. Prior to the Chertoff Group, he was active duty for 13 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he led a cyber protection team of Marines and civilians. He remains a reservist with U.S. Cyber Command. Tran holds an M.S. in cybersecurity, a CISSP, and five SANS certifications.
