Laura Katherine Smith

Laura Katherine Smith joined the Political Science faculty at Texas State University in 2026, after nearly two decades on the Constitutional Torts Staff at the U.S. Department of Justice. Her work focuses on constitutional law, child welfare, and social history. She holds a BA from Smith College and a JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
