Michael Nesbitt

Michael Nesbitt is an assistant professor of law at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law, where he teaches and researches in the areas of national security, criminal and international law. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Queen’s University, an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa, an LL.M. from NYU, and an SJD from the University of Toronto. He is a former legal counsel to Canada’s Department of Justice and former diplomat with Canada’s Department of Global Affairs, where he focused on national security and international law.
