The R Street Institute—a free-market think tank headquartered in Washington, D.C. and with staff located across the country—seeks a collaborative individual to focus on technology policy research and analysis on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technology issues. If you are the right fit, you will report to the Senior Director of Technology and Innovation Policy. Your typical day at R Street may include collaborating with other fellows on the Technology and Innovation team to produce written research, analysis, and commentary on issues related to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and/or other emerging technology topics. In addition to writing, you may produce multimedia content, participate in panel discussions, and/or briefings for a variety of stakeholders. This role will serve as part of the Technology and Innovation policy department.

Your typical day at R Street may include editing opinion content and substantive policy-oriented pieces, supporting rapid response media relations efforts, translating technical policy concepts into digestible summaries, and assisting senior communications leadership with developing and executing strategic initiatives, among other duties. This role serves as part of R Street’s Communications and Editorial team.

The George Washington University Law School seeks applications for a one-year graduate fellowship, specializing in privacy and technology law, beginning as early as July 1, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The successful candidate will be GW Law’s second Privacy and Technology Law Fellow and also serve as a Visiting Associate Professor of Law.
