On Sept. 12, a federal judge unsealed the affidavit for the search warrant executed on former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s home.

The heavily redacted affidavit states that there was probable cause to believe that “evidence of the unlawful retention and transmission of classified information and National Defense Information—including copies of documents containing such information—[were] located in the target residence,” meaning Bolton’s home.

The affidavit also revealed that a foreign entity hacked Bolton’s AOL email account.
