Yesterday evening, Senators Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Mike Lee (R-UT), and Chris Murphy (D-CT) released a joint resolution seeking to compel the removal of U.S. forces from hostilities in Yemen.

Earlier in the day, media reports circulated a preemptive critique of the resolution by the general counsel of the Defense Department addressed to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
