Today at 2:30pm: Senate Intelligence Committee Nomination Hearings

At 2:30pm the Senate Intelligence Committee began its open hearings considering the following nominations:

John P. Carlin to be Assistant Attorney General for National Security at the Department of Justice

Francis X. Taylor to be the Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security

Statements and questionnaires from the witnesses can be found on the Committee's website, and video is being streamed on CSPAN.

Yishai Schwartz is a third-year student at Yale Law School. Previously, he was an associate editor at Lawfare and a reporter-researcher for The New Republic. He holds a BA from Yale in philosophy and religious studies.
