On July 17, the Georgia Supreme Court dismissed former President Donald Trump's July 13 petition in which he requested a temporary stay of all proceedings of the special purpose grand jury's investigation, disqualification of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and quashal of the Fulton County grand jury's final report. The court found that Trump hadn't demonstrated the need for it to intervene, nor did it think that even if the court's intervention was procedurally warranted, Trump satisfyingly demonstrated his entitlement to the requested relief.

The decision was unanimous.
