Ukraine’s prime minister has submitted his resignation after a recording surfaced in which he appeared to disparage Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s grasp of economics, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Eleven U.S. troops were treated for concussions following the Jan. 8 missile strike launched by Iran against two Iraqi bases, according to the New York Times. The latest report by the military contradicted earlier statements made by President Trump that no service members were injured.

Attorney General William Barr’s criticism of tech companies—notably of Apple following government efforts to unlock two iPhones belonging to the Saudi national who killed three people at a Pensacola military base in December—has drawn the concern of some senior officials in the FBI, reports the Journal. The officials are worried that Barr’s criticism will harm relationships between tech companies and the government and that the Pensacola case was the wrong case to press on encryption.

On Thursday, the seven House managers formally presented the articles of impeachment to the Senate, says to the Washington Post.

Trump has added Kenneth Starr and Alan Dershowitz to his legal team for the Senate impeachment trial, reports the Times.
